PROPHETIC WORDS

WISE UP, CHURCH, YOU’RE UNDER ATTACK!

As I’ve continued to watch and pray over this past year I’ve increasingly felt the heart of the Lord, and His grief, concerning what has been happening, especially amongst His people, the church. The following is what I’ve felt the Lord say about it. The term ‘political spirit’ used in this word is the description of a spirit, and its role; please understand that. This prophetic word isn’t about earthly politics, it’s about the church’s need to recognise this spirit’s agenda to establish a power-base within the church, and to cause division and destruction. 

The word

“There is a demonic spirit that is at work in this season, a pseudo-governmental spirit that seeks to usurp power and dictate to people the boundaries within which they live. It is a political spirit that seeks to bring people into agreement with its values, perspectives and agendas through crafty and subtle persuasions. It is a spirit that seeks to create power-bases, to dominate through them, and to polarise, creating factions and bringing division. It often pushes people to extremes – in thought, in attitude, speech, and action, and in doing so does not care if it destroys relationships.

This spirit is at work in the nations of the world, and sadly, My children have allowed this spirit to infiltrate My church. In this season the political spirit is working closely with the religious spirit, to bring division into the church, causing people to think that their beliefs are the only ‘right ones’, and alienating those who see differently from them. Some of My children are being seduced by this spirit and are letting it lead them, instead of being led by My Spirit, and as a result are developing a crusading mindset that has led to sowing division. Beware that you do not become one of them. Do not automatically think that your anger at what is happening in the world is a righteous anger; do not think that your dogmatic stand is necessarily a righteous stand. Examine it. Examine what is happening in your heart underneath the surface emotions. Are your responses to this time drawing you closer to Me, causing you to seek Me for wisdom, and causing the fruits of Holy Spirit to be manifest in your life? Or are they causing you to take sides, think less of others, and act and speak rashly. That’s how this spirit works; it polarises and causes factions. Beware that you are not playing right into the enemy’s hands and helping him, not Me. Turn back to Me, repent, and ask for My help, I will help you!

I am calling you to discern rightly the spirits that are at work, and the spirits that you may be operating in. I am calling you to examine your hearts. I am warning you of this spirit’s ways, so that you are not taken prisoner by it and used to bring destruction and division. I am telling you so that you won’t be ignorant of the enemy’s devices and schemes.

This spirit must be recognised, and its attempt to sow division in My church must be stopped. Remember in doing so that the fight is against the principalities and powers, not against people. This spirit has deceived people by its subtle persuasions. Don’t fight the people, fight the spirit. Recognise this spirit for what it is. Resist it and stand firm against it because it can be displaced, and its power and influence toppled. Seek My face, seek My heart, listen to My wisdom and move in that.  This is a time when you need My wisdom; seek it and I will give it to you.

My desire is for you and the rest of My children to do so much good during this time, releasing my Kingdom’s resources into the earth – bringing hope, healing, comfort, deliverance, salvation, and help to individuals around you, and society at large. But you cannot do it if you are being side-tracked by the demonic spirits at work around you. Focus on Me, seek My face, ask how you can best serve Me and those around you. Show people My love and power, show them that I care. The resources of My Kingdom are ready and waiting for you to access and use, but to do so you need to see what’s happening and work with Me, not against Me. I have assignments and exploits for you during this time that will impact and change lives, but for that I need you focused on Me, looking to Me, equipped by Me, not side-tracked by this seducing spirit.”

PRAYER POINTS

Prayer is not just us coming to God with a list of requests. As part of our relationship with Him, it is us having a conversation with the Lord, which involves talking and listening on both sides. The following prayer points are some things you can talk to Him about in regards to this prophetic word.

• Pray that the Lord will increase your discernment, so you can see what is happening in the world and in the spiritual realms at this time – remember that the highest use of the gift of discernment is to discern what God is doing, not just what the devil is doing.

• Pray for an uncovering, a revelation from the Lord, of any area where you have been influenced by this spirit. Ask Him to show you His will and His ways, activate Rom 12:2 – don’t act according to the world’s pattern, renew your mind and be transformed. Pray for the spirit of revelation and wisdom to come upon the church that they may recognise what is happening and act appropriately according to the Lord’s ways.

• Pray for wisdom in how to respond in your daily interactions with people. For some people fear is huge right now in their life, and they are responding in anger because they are fearful. Look beyond the surface and ask the Lord to show you what is happening at the heart of the matter.

• Pray that the Lord would raise up godly voices (including your own) who will stand in in the power of His love, and walk in righteousness. Pray for an increased awareness of opportunities to share the good news of what Christ has done.
