THE TIDE IS TURNING…

I have had a strong sense over the last little while that something has shifted in the atmosphere. There is a freshness, a new hope and a greater faith starting to stir in people’s hearts. There has been a ‘standing up’ happening on the inside of people, against some of the things happening on the outside.
The enemy has continued to play his hand on many fronts, and the ugliness of his heart and agenda has been seen and felt – sickness, crises, division, hate, lies, confusion, deception, destruction, death! This is nothing new – he has been meddling in the earth trying to discredit the heart and plan of the Father since the Garden of Eden. But I feel like in this last season he has used situations in the natural to work a more deceptive plan, and this sludge has crept into the souls of so many, bringing crippling fear, hopelessness and an apathy that has sucked the breath and life from them.
In the midst of this, I have felt a definite shift in the Spirit – but that ‘standing up’ happening on the inside of people is not a militant, fight-back spirit, but a greater call to move in the opposite spirit!
I sensed God saying…
THE TIDE IS TURNING – THE ATMOSPHERE AND FRAGRANCE OF HEAVEN REPELS THE ENEMY!
We need to operate in the truth that victory has ALWAYS belonged to Jesus, and therefore we have the privilege of carrying and ministering the grace-filled, loving heart of the Father. This is when the FRAGRANCE OF HEAVEN oozes out of our lives, becoming so attractive to those around us. But it is the stench of death to the enemy – he can’t stand it!
Yes, there is a definite call to battle with spiritual weapons in the spirit, BUT in the natural we operate with the atmosphere and fragrance of Heaven flowing through us – life, joy, freedom, hope, peace, love, light, kindness, goodness and generosity of heart towards others.
The Atmosphere of Heaven will be expressed on earth, through us. Let’s stand on the truth of Jesus, drench ourselves in that fragrance, and repel the enemy!

Libby Huirua loves Jesus. Her passion for Jesus, and for prophetic encounters in His presence, has allowed her to minister and lead worship all over the world for decades. Libby is an ordained minister with the Acts Churches of NZ, and on the pastoral staff of Equippers Church Auckland (home for 30+ years). She is also on the staff at Equippers College, where she and her husband Wayne direct the Worship Stream, training another generation of worship musicians and leaders.
