THE SOUND OF THE COMING RAIN

A few months ago the Lord spoke to me very clearly that IT’S ABOUT TO RAIN! He repeated this several times, saying that Holy Spirit fire is going to rain on this land! He told me to start declaring it and calling it forth.  

I have been increasingly prompted to speak ‘radical faith’ declarations, and in a recent Intercessors prayer meeting Holy Spirit put Bethel Church in California on my mind, then He told me, that with the same faith and boldness that Elisha asked for a double portion of Elijah’s spirit to be in him, ask for a double portion of the tangible presence of God that abides in Bethel to be present here in your Church, your city, your nation. So I did. Immediately as I did I was taken into an open vision.

Vision

I saw a map of half the world, but the focus was on the USA. I saw lit up dots in many cities across America. I saw lit up flight paths from these cities across the pacific ocean to Auckland and our nation, New Zealand. Planes were coming from the USA and other countries. These planes were filled with people wanting to come to our shores because they had heard of the heavy presence of God that was now abiding here, and they wanted to come and just soak in the tangible presence. The Lord said that the tables are turning. Where in the past we had to fly to other countries to encounter Him, now they will be flying here to encounter Him. Vision ended.  

Around a week ago the Lord took me to 1 Kings 18 where Elijah told Ahab there is a sound of abundant rain. He reminded me that I had lapsed a little in my urgency to contend for the coming rain that He had told me of a few months earlier. He reminded me not to lose faith since I have not yet seen it coming. Elijah instructed his servant to keep on returning, to keep going until he could finally see the small rain cloud. He returned 7 times. He told me to keep trusting, and believing that the rain is coming. However, the thing that most captivated me about this scripture was the word SOUND, and the fact that Elijah had first heard the sound of abundant rain before seeing it. I could not let go of this, so began asking the Lord to give me ears to also hear the sound. I asked for supernatural help to be able to hear this sound and discernment to recognise it.

A few days later I was in travailing prayer, groaning loudly in the Spirit, (Romans 8:26 “In the same way the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.") As this groaning sound was released from my mouth Holy Spirit spoke. He said that this is the sound I had been asking to hear. He said, “The rain is coming. My Spirit and Glory are about to rain on this land, and My presence will change everything. My people who carry My heart are the ones releasing the SOUND of what is coming. They are pregnant with, and birthing, My plans and purposes for this land. Their groanings are being released and are producing a great stirring and shifting in the spirit realm. Keep standing in faith and releasing the sound that I place in your spirit; you have now HEARD the sound of my coming glory with your ears, and soon you will see it with your eyes.” 

Then He reminded me of John 11:40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you would SEE the glory of God?”

May the Intercessors of this nation, who have received dreams, visions and rhema words from God of His coming glory, contend for them with renewed faith and urgency. May we arise in faith and declare “The days are at hand, and the fulfilment of every vision.” Ezekiel 12:2
