THE PROPHETIC MESSAGE OF KEITH GREEN

This past week the Lord confirmed something that He has been talking to me about for a while. To do so He used a set of numbers – dates.

The 28th of July was the 38th anniversary of Keith Green's death.

There is prophetic significance in these numbers. Here is my interpretation of what those numbers mean according to Biblical numerology.  The meaning of the number 28 refers to leadership, creativity, imagination and individualistic strong people. The number 38 means "God's glory".  I believe that the Lord was confirming to me through the meaning of these numbers, the prophetic word He gave me. 

(For those that don’t know who Keith Green was, he was a young man, a singer-songwriter from the USA, with an intense, burning love for the Lord and the church. He wrote some of the most loved worship songs of the past few generations including classics like O Lord, You’re Beautiful and Create in Me a Clean Heart. Keith was an evangelist / prophetic voice mix that was unusual for its time, and he inspired thousands of people to serve God wholeheartedly. He was often compared to John the Baptist for his fiery preaching and strong convictions.)

THE PROPHETIC WORD

A new era is emerging of prophetic voices and evangelists arising with a fresh sound!

I believe the Lord is saying that He is releasing an anointing of the same type of mantle or gifting that Keith Green had into the earth right now, and that it will bring great glory to Him.

He is raising up a new era of John the Baptist, Keith Green, fiery type prophetic and evangelistic voices. Many of these will be singers and songwriters, as Keith Green was, while some will be fiery evangelists and preachers.

They will be a group of people who will at times be strong in their condemnation of the “keep the status quo” and also the “anything goes” church, but at the same time they will be filled with love for God and for people.

Some will not choose their words wisely and the tendency in the church will be to either dismiss them totally because of that, or to call them true prophets, because they say things that agree with our personal perspectives. We will need to discern wisely the things they say, look beyond the words alone, and get to know their hearts.

The sound that comes from them will be strong, and will reverberate throughout the church, challenging many. Through them, the Lord will cause an awakening to happen in their generation that will cause many older, more established, people in the church to hang their heads in dismay at their own inactivity and luke-warmness. They too will become awakened and challenged to work to see change amongst their generation.

These fiery ones will also send out a sound that will cause an awakening within a new generation of those who currently do not know Christ. Get ready for a new ‘Jesus people’ type movement to arise as these prophetic and evangelistic voices catch the ears of a generation that is seeking authenticity and truth in spirituality. Many will come to know the Lord as a result of the sound they send forth.
