IT’S TIME TO STOP SWEEPING THINGS UNDER THE RUG

This prophetic word was given at the NZ Council of Prophets gathering and Behold Conference in Christchurch, March 2024.

The Lord revealed to me that just as dirt is swept under the carpet, there are a number of areas in the Body of Christ, and in the secular world, that have been hidden under the rug. I could sense that we have entered a time for these things to be brought into the light and uncovered.

I heard God say, “There are many issues, frustrations, and feelings that get swept under the carpet in relational connections and marriages.  I have seen the concerns that have been hidden, ignored, and neglected. These areas have caused much pain, disappointment, and deep resentment, but I am about to lift the rug to reveal the dirt, release My breakthrough anointing and unblock that which has been capped. I am shattering and removing the restraints that have caused faux-unity. That which had seemed genuine on the outside will be exposed for what it really is. For, I am truth – Yahweh El Emeth – the Lord God of Truth. 

My Kingdom is built on truth. I am arriving as truth to bring freedom and release to that which has been hidden under the rug.”

I saw a huge rug, measuring the size of a rugby field, floating in the spirit. Suddenly, I watched as God's hand lifted up the corner of the rug, and as I saw this I heard Him say, 

“The broom cupboard door has been opened and I am putting away the brooms. There will be no more sweeping things under the rug, which creates great damage to My people. I am confronting the religious spirit that calls for peace at all costs! I am calling My people to step up in the spirit, and to not avoid conflict due to an alignment with the religious spirit and the fear of man! My Kingdom is light, and there is nothing hidden! The kingdom of darkness is fuelled by what is hidden!”

I heard God say, “Truth is not just an aspect of who I am, but I AM truth. There is not one part of My nature that can lie, be false, or deceive. Everything I say and do is true at every angle; it doesn’t change. Every character quality I possess is consistent, and I do not change Myself like a chameleon to please others. Nor do I distort the truth, or trade on falsehood. 

I am calling My radical anointed ones to declare My heart and truth in this day. They will be rejected. But I have given them thick skin, a forehead like flint, and a heart to please Me first. Just like John the Baptist, there will be many in My Body who will resist My voice through them. These radical ones will be marked by their undivided steely focus on Me, rather than the need for ministry, power, and position. 

I am bringing a new, fresh, voice from those who have been hidden and prepared in the caves of obscurity.

My beautiful ones! 

These beautiful ones have walked the road called ‘brokenness’ and who have allowed Me to do My deep work in them. They have been stripped of their dependency on man and their eyes and hearts are attuned to Me. 

I have laid the red carpet for them in My house and in places of great influence in culture. A multitude of hidden traps, where the enemy has had my beloved bound, will be uncovered and brought into the light, bringing transformation in the years to come.”

The Vision – Soul Attachments

I was lifted up into the spirit. 

I saw men and woman of God all over the world, all over New Zealand, floating in a haze of fog. 

I saw many umbilical cords attached to them – some had 3, some had 10, and some had 20. Their judgement and sight was clouded by these attachments, as was their ability to be connected to God in the way He desired. As I watched they were going about their usual lives, praying, worshipping, and walking with God. However, I could see that these men and women were being pulled back and forth by these cords. There was confusion, tension, frustration, and disillusionment as they were being pulled from left to right by the cords attached to them from other people.

I heard the Lord’s voice with a serious tone, “Many of My people have been tied soulishly to others and attached in ways that are trapping and holding them back from Me and My Kingdom purposes. I am grieved by this, as they cannot hear the clear direction of My voice, due to the ungodly soul ties and attachments binding them and preventing them from moving forward into their true call and destiny. Even soul ties to men of God have been formed, creating unhealthy, co-dependent connections. Parent to child, business partner to business partner, church member to leadership, brother to brother, colleague to colleague, and friend to friend.” 

In the vision I saw the Lord lift up a pair of massive scissors and start cutting the umbilical cords from His people. I could see the fog around their minds clearing.

From this, I saw many in the Body of Christ enter seasons of inner healing, victory, and great increase. I saw the Lord enter the doors of their hearts with cleaning cloths. I heard the Lord say, “There will be no other gods but Me.”

Prophetic Quick Hits

Changing of the Guard

2024 is a year of the changing of the guard. God will bring new awareness, revelation, and strategy to the Body of Christ of how to do succession excellently, to bring an understanding of the importance of this from generation to generation. 

Changes in the Justice System

I see new changes being implemented to the justice system in New Zealand. New legislation will be created to align with God’s standards. I saw firmer consequences and disciplines in areas where, in the past, they have been soft.

Marriage and Family

God is imparting a new breakthrough anointing on preachers, teachers and leaders who choose to speak up for family and marriage. These areas are very much on His heart. I saw new training, discipling, and equipping becoming a TOP priority in the Body of Christ. This anointing is intended to break the back of the enemy’s assault on marriage and families, so as to continue and increase godly inheritance and generational blessing through this land.

New Wineskins

Just as not all children learn well in a traditional classroom context, new ways of discipleship, fellowship, and gatherings will form and take place in the Body of Christ. There will be a gradual understanding and acceptance of these new wineskins, due to the tangible evidence of life-giving transformation.

Youth

I see new youth facilities opening up throughout the country. Teens and preteens will have new places of support and security. There will be favour even within government financial institutions to facilitate them in conjunction with Kingdom organisations.
