IT’S TIME TO PIVOT

This prophetic word was delivered by Catherine Hoekendijk at the 2022 New Zealand Council of Prophets gathering held in Christchurch on the 24th February.

It’s the time of the Pivot.  We are in a time where the church is being required to pivot.

Pivot means

• To be contingent or centred on.

• To make a significant change in position, strategy, or process.

• To adapt or improve by adjusting or modifying something (such as a product, service, or strategy).

• A person, thing, or factor having a major or central role, function, or effect.

God has drawn me to this word and I’m seeing and hearing the word pivot everywhere.

The church is pivoting from …

Politics to Presence

Pivot from that political spirit and come into that place of presence in worship. In the Body of Christ so many are getting caught up in issues, and God is calling His Body to come into His presence, and come together in His presence. In His presence we find everything we need.

“When we gather around issues there is disunity; when we gather around Jesus there is unity.” Norm McLeod

Psa 73:28 – “But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.”

Pain to Peace

Jer 30:17 – “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD.”

God is healing our country, healing us from all the divisions and wounding. He is replacing pain with peace, pouring His Spirit out on troubled waters.

Pandemic to Prosperity

The places that have been robbed, the people that have been robbed – God is going to replace and build up. 

Joel 2:25-32 – “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming [a]locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust – My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.”

As we use our spiritual eyes, we see that God, and God alone, is on the throne.

God is releasing new inventions, new ideas, and new strategies for creating wealth. There will be dreams and visions, new materials and new products discovered that will generate wealth.  These will come out of the time where we have had to pivot in different areas to survive.  The term ‘necessity is the mother of invention’, has driven many to look for, and find, other ways of doing things to what has been in the past. God is releasing a new creativity over our country that will put it on the world stage.

God is releasing new solutions to old problems. Innovations and world firsts.

Pirouette on Pointe

The other word that God has been speaking to me speaking about in relation to this, is ‘Pirouette’.

Pirouette
Pirouette is a term used in ballet. It means – a rapid whirling about of the body. Especially: a full turn on the toe or ball of one foot in ballet.

God calls us to lift our view.  We come up on our toes with full expectation.

There is a turning happening. Turn New Zealand, Turn to Jesus!

Pointe
Pointe shoes are special shoes that allow ballerinas to dance on their toes. Ballet is about creating beautiful lines and shapes with our bodies, and pointe shoes extend our lines and give a sense of lightness and the illusion that we're floating on air.

Body alignment and foot placement are fundamental aspects of pointe technique. When a ballerina is learning to pirouette, they learn to fix their gaze on that one point.  When they’re whirling and twirling, to avoid chaos and falling over when they snap around, every time they find that one point to focus on.

This is about order and alignment.

God is saying Order, Order, Order, and align. Order and alignment are key in this season.

Our reference point, our due north is Jesus. It’s fixing our eyes on Him in worship. We turn from every distraction and put our gaze on Him. Kanohi ki te kanohi. Always returning to the face of God. This keeps us in a place of strength and balance, and avoids confusion and injury.

Whirlwind vs Chaos

Nahum 1:3, “The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and the LORD will by no means clear the guilty. His way is in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.”

We are part of the whirlwind of God. We are careful not to partner with the twisting and turning of a false move led by Leviathan.  To protect and guard ourselves from this, to see clearly, we need to check assumptions and use the glasses of heaven. 

Covid is not coming, it’s going!

A kingdom divided against itself will fall.

Righteousness exalts a nation. Not the politicians.

The loud will become quiet. The quiet will speak.

What’s been brewing in hiding is about to be birthed. People have been hidden and their voices have been restrained for a time, but what has been birthed in private will be launched into the public. 

Dan 2:21-22 – He changes times and seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him.

In this time God is calling us back to focus on the main thing.  For the people of God, the main thing is Jesus.  It’s worship, it’s His presence. God has also given us a mandate –  to go and make disciples of every nation. Keep our eyes on the harvest.  We are to focus on the Kingdom.  In the Kingdom there is no scarcity, no lack, no limitations, no restrictions.

2 Cor 3:18, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

God is wanting to bring that transformation to New Zealand. It comes as we lay down our rights. Focus and fix our eyes on Him.  Jesus is the hope of the church. Jesus is the hope of New Zealand and of the world.

PRAYER POINTS

Prayer is not just us coming to God with a list of requests. As part of our relationship with Him, it is us having a conversation with the Lord, which involves talking and listening on both sides. The following prayer points are some things you can talk to Him about in regards to this prophetic word.

• Pray for an openness in the lives of individuals, and in churches, to changes that the Lord wants to make.

• Pray for revelation of aspects in our lives of where changes of mindset and actions need to happen.

• Pray for flexibility and a willingness to pivot on the Lord’s instruction and in His timing.

• Pray for a renewed focusing on the Lord and, where our focus has shifted from Him, that a refocusing would happen so we can stay balanced as we turn with proper order and alignment.
