GOD IS RE-WILDING HIS CHURCH

While watching Madagascar with the kids a while back, I started daydreaming about the negative effects on wild animals in captivity, like a zoo. I was thinking of how in time it becomes a place that dulls their senses, caps their wild instinct, restricts their movement, and eventually becomes a place of containment.

I felt God interrupt me and say, “I am re-wilding the church that’s become tame!”

I believe the Lord is inviting His people out of places of personal containment in this hour for the purpose of re-wilding and invigorating His Bride!

Through the zoo daydream God was highlighting environments, or areas of our lives, that have become overly familiar. Places where we have become content, or things have become monotonous, religious, or draining. Places that are now stunting our growth and sapping our zeal.

I believe He is calling many out of the box, and out of the boat, again in order to fan into flame the wild side in our spiritual DNA, put the wind back in our sails, and revive our lives.

I sense for some this may be activated in a new environment like a new job, a new opportunity, a different life trajectory change. For the busy it may be entering the unfamiliar place of rest. These are new environments that activate parts of us that have been dulled or switched off.

The church was never meant to be tamed. God longs to lead His church back into the wild, the untamed territory of fresh reliance and the raw walk of faith. God is awakening a fierce, bold, refreshed, rough round the edges church that is uncapped.

Back to the wild, we go!
