PROPHETIC WORDS
FORERUNNER, RUN!

“Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting, “Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God!” Isaiah 40:3 NLT
“But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness.” Isaiah 43:18-19 NLT
I saw a picture of someone standing on the edge of new territory. It was expansive and vast, unchartered, and completely new. No one had entered this territory before. This land that stretched out before them, wasn’t flat and smooth. It was untouched, rugged and beautiful. There were rocks and hills and valleys. And I sensed this person felt that they were alone as they were about to enter the land. I saw them stop hesitantly and look around, to the right and then to the left. They were looking to see either if anyone was coming with them, or if anyone knew the way and could guide and lead them. But there seemed to be no one else there. They stopped to listen, for any hint or directive as to where they were to go, and how they were to proceed, as there was no path ahead of them – just the wide open, beautiful, rugged expanse…
And as they listened, a voice said:
“Forerunner, RUN! Don’t hesitate, don’t stop. Don’t look left or right, but just start to run. As you run, I will speak the path into existence. And as you agree with me and speak out what I am telling you, the way will be paved – smooth and strong. And this path is not just for you, but for others following behind you. They will travel safely on this road that has been formed by My Word and your agreement with it! Forerunner, RUN! Run with your eyes fixed straight ahead and listening for My voice. Only MY VOICE!”
Then in the picture I saw the Forerunner set his face and focus forward with intentionality and determination, and he began to run. And with each pace, a piece of road formed under his feet. He didn’t have to hesitate with the next step because the road was forming as God spoke, and as he listened, agreed, declared, and then ran forward. The road was literally forming as the Forerunner activated his faith, agreed with what he heard spoken, and fixed his focus, and ran forward.
And then I also saw that he actually wasn’t alone – there were others who were all running in the same manner, in the same direction, and with the same directive from God. The Forerunner hadn’t seen them until he’d heard the voice and started his own path. But there were FORERUNNERS everywhere – listening, agreeing, declaring, running. And a road was forming as they ran!
At that point I sensed God say, “This is a new era, a new season, and new territory. The road emerging as you run is building a highway for people to see Me, the King. The road originates FROM Me, it is FOR Me, and it leads TO Me! It is the Ancient Pathway that has always been, and it is the New Highway that is being formed every day as you run; they are the same! It is one big continuous road, there from the very beginning, showing My people the way to Me, but it stretches into the future and each generation runs it out into existence. This is what I’m calling you to. Pave the road as you run!”
“And know you’re not alone! Don’t believe that lie! There’s a COMPANY of forerunner road-builders with you. Together, in this uncharted territory, you are making a straight way for the King to be seen and known. As you run together, in unity, with joy, in intimate relationship with Me, and in humble, unified relationship with each other, people are going to see the path that leads to me! So FORERUNNERS, RUN!”
The picture finished with the Forerunner being permitted to look back for a moment. And he saw the road stretching out behind him with MULTITUDES of people walking, seeing the King, with joy, relief, freedom and life in their steps. And then he looked forward again, set his face and focus on the King, and began to run….
This is the big story of God, being worked out through our everyday lives. Each day we enter uncharted territory. The path has not been set yet in the natural, but God sees and knows the path. It is already in existence and it leads to Him. He simply asks us to fix our focus solely on Him, listen to His voice, agree with what He is saying, declare it prophetically, and RUN! We are ALL called to be those forerunners, forging those pathways through the way we live our lives, pointing people to Jesus! As individuals, we are paving the road for the King, and as the Church, we are doing that together in unity, for our nation!
This big story is about people seeing Jesus and connecting their hearts back to Him. That’s always been God’s heart, and that always been our mission. Let’s stay focussed, listening and attentive to His Voice, declaring what He tells us, and running! The road is being formed as we do!
PRAYER POINTS
Prayer is not just us coming to God with a list of requests. As part of our relationship with Him, it is us having a conversation with the Lord, which involves talking and listening on both sides. The following prayer points are some things you can talk to Him about in regards to this prophetic word.
Pray for new dreams, new assignments to be released from the Throne of God.
Pray for those called to be forerunners – for ears to hear, eyes to see, and hearts to understand the call and the cost, and say yes!
Pray that forerunners would be courageous, set their face and focus forward, with intentionality and determination, and begin to run.
Pray for fresh renewed activation of faith, courage, and perseverance in those God is calling to forge new pathways, in whatever sphere of society they are called to.
