PROPHETIC WORDS

FRESH IMPETUS FOR THE OLDER GENERATION

by Lyn Packer

There is a wave of refreshing and revitalising being released in this nation at the moment that will affect many who have felt old, tired, or that their time is past. Over the years many of you have even been told to step aside from certain ministry things you were involved with in order to make way for the next generation; this has left some of you feeling unwanted, rejected and set aside as your ministries were given to others, but the Lord wants to say this to you...

"The things that you do are not who you are, and the things you've done in the past are not all I have for you; I am not finished with you yet. There is still much that I have for you to walk in and much for you to do. I will renew your vision, renew your strength and cause you to run again. Don't assume that what you did yesterday is the sum of my plans and purposes for you. Don’t take a word from man or a turning of focus to be a rejection from me. I do not reject you and I do not put you aside. Stop grieving over your past and look again to your future.

But in this time I will give new areas of focus and ministry to those who will wait on Me in faith. Many of you will become mothers and fathers to those that I will raise up in the younger generations; there is much need for your wisdom and encouragement amongst them. Yet others of you will pioneer again; you are not too old! There is such a great work to be done as I release heaven into your nation.

There is an intergenerational anointing being released and one of the things I would have New Zealand model in the days ahead is how to work together in unity, despite differences - in age, in thought, in belief. A true understanding of what it means to be the family of God is coming upon your nation and it will sweep aside much of what has happened in the past, as people see multi-generational family ministry birthed and modelled in the churches of this nation. It will take a renewing of many minds, and humility amongst you all, but I can see it; can you? Begin to believe Me again, to stand in faith again, and to declare My goodness in the land of the living. Make My words your declaration and your belief, and see them come to pass."

As I was writing this I felt that the scripture found in Psa 27:13,14 was what the Lord was referring to in the last segment of the word. CEV - "I had almost given up hope of seeing the blessing of the Lord in the land of the living. Let your hope be in the Lord; take heart and be strong; yes let your hope be in the Lord."

Many of you who have had unfulfilled prophetic words will need to dust them off and begin to believe again that what God has promised can still come to pass. It is not too late; those words still carry within them the power to set things in motion and bring them to pass when faith is added to them. Begin to declare them again over your life. Begin to stand in faith and agreement with the Lord and His word to you, and don't come out of agreement with Him until it manifests.

I pray that this word will do its work in you, bringing hope and causing you to be strengthened by that hope, knowing that scriptural hope is this - the confident, joyful expectation that God is about to be good to you and that His favour is upon you!
