PROPHETIC WORDS

DREAM OF THE COMING MOVE OF GOD

by Joseph Lee

October 2022

I had a dream during lockdown in March 2020 that I believe holds some key indicators for the coming move of God. I believe these indicators are starting to come to pass.

In the dream I met the pope. He told me “The next transition … is going from being a son of the Father to fathering of sons.” He told me the book of John is the key to this shift, in which Jesus clearly demonstrates the relationship that sons of God are meant to have with Father God, and the miraculous fruit that abounds when this relationship is fully manifest.

The pope metaphor in the dream denotes a governmental mandate to father/mother a new generation that will come into the new move. I believe this speaks of a wider shift in the body of Christ to manifesting “sons of God” on the earth and also moving from a “busines model” approach in church governance to being “fathers and mothers” for the next generation.

I then asked the pope if he knew Winkie Pratney. The pope didn’t, so I made a mental note in the dream to introduce him later.

The pope is also known as “the father” and Winke is a father in the faith …  The Lord impressed upon me that one of the signs of the coming move was that Apostolic fathers from different streams in the body of Christ, who had limited or no previous relationships, would start to connect and build relationships in this season, putting aside differences and minor doctrinal issues … for the move of God.

The scene then changed to a church meeting that was packed with over a thousand people … it was like the 5-fold was represented as I was introduced to different ministers on the front row. I remembering thinking to myself in the dream, “I guess it’s time to trust each other.” You could feel the expectation for miracles and the revival in the air.

In this scene it was evident that the coming move of God would require a deeper understanding of the 5-fold ministry and a need to “trust one another” with that. Mis-trust always comes from mis-understanding, so we need a fresh revelation of the role of the 5-fold and how they work together to build up the body of Christ. I believe that God is raising a new generation of 5-fold minsters, and we need to start identifying and honouring, not just the pastoral, but all five offices. These new mandates and mantles falling on a new generation will need to be fathered correctly into the move of God.

For some reason I had to go down the back of the church before the service started, and when I came back I was shocked to see that the scene had changed – the church was now a park where everyone was playing.

“What had happened to the revival meeting?”, I thought.

I ran to find the organiser and found him swimming in a pool, having a pool party. I was angry and crying, “What have you done? The people were ready for revival, they were ready for miracles, it was going to break out.”

The man said, “The speaker from overseas didn’t turn up, so I thought I might as well stop the meeting and we can all just enjoy the day and play games.” I remember telling him, “But God was ready to move, and you want to play games?”

I walked from the event and saw a group of people milling around. I could see that they wanted God to move (I remember them being so hungry for more).

In this final scene I think the Lord is giving us a warning…

  1. It’s time for no more excuses! We can’t wait for the guest speaker from overseas to be the catalyst for revival anymore. New Zealand must own their own move of God! This is what I believe God is calling the church toward (not that overseas speakers won’t enrich the move or help steward it, but that we would own our next move with the mark and signature of Aotearoa).

  2. It’s time to give up the games in church and end the season of “business model” church, and start to pursue the move of the Holy Spirit again.

  3. Let’s not misread the mood of the people and think they want a seeker friendly model of church (playing games) … when in fact the people are hungry for an authentic expression of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit with miracles, signs, and wonders following.

PRAYER POINTS

Prayer is not just us coming to God with a list of requests. As part of our relationship with Him, it is us having a conversation with the Lord, which involves talking and listening on both sides. The following prayer points are some things you can talk to Him about in regards to this prophetic word.

  • Pray for the raising up of spiritual fathers and mothers in churches across the country – that there would be a shift moving forward from a ‘business model’ approach in church governance to being “fathers and mothers” of the next generation, who raise up strong, mature sons and daughters of God.

  • Pray for increased understanding of how the five-fold gifts and ministers are to work together to help the church come to maturity.

  • Pray for increasing trust and working together to develop between different church leaders and churches. Pray for any mistrust and misunderstandings to be worked through, for insecurities that cause hearts to see others as competition to be healed, and that a heart to include and collaborate would begin to grow in leaders instead.

  • Pray for an honouring of the treasure that is in our New Zealand ministers, and that the mindset that imported wisdom is always better would be broken.

  • Pray that God would release His power and presence in your church, that people would be hungry to see the reality of His presence manifested amongst them.
