PROPHETIC WORDS

BREAK THE FEAR

by Vicki Trustrum

September 2021.

When I was praying yesterday I felt the Lord was saying:  “BREAK THE FEAR!  BREAK THE FEAR! BREAK THE FEAR!  BREAK THE FEAR!  BREAK THE FEAR! This is the time when you are to rise up, and instead of the atmosphere of fear influencing you, you are to break it with an atmosphere of hope. I have put hope in you.”

Then I felt the Lord lead me to Judges 6.

It’s the story of Gideon who out of fear that he was going to die, hid himself, and of course he gets called this “great man of valour”.

But what I want to hone in on is verse 23.  Judges 6: 23

Then the Lord said to him, “Peace!  Peace be with you.  Do not fear. You shall not die.”

You shall not die … and I felt the Lord say – “Step out of the fear of death; wherever you go, wherever you walk, you are walking in a place where the enemy has planted the fear of death, even to the point of snitching on neighbours.  I want you to rise up in hope and love and joy and goodness.  That you are the opposite – that you are the ones who shine in this time, you are the shining ones.

Awaken and stand in the fullness of the authority that I have given you in this time. Awaken and arise and ooze My presence wherever you go. You are salt and light in this world. Be salt to those who have no flavour at this time, who have no hope.  Be light for those to whom everything looks like darkness. And let My love ooze out of you, for I say to you, “Peace be with you!  Do not fear!  You shall live!””

PRAYER POINTS

Personal

  • Ask the Lord to reveal areas where you have allowed yourself to succumb to the atmosphere of fear and allowed fear’s suggestive thoughts to cause worry to take root in your heart and mind. Turn your worries over to the Lord and ask for His peace to come and fill you.

  • Pray that the church would have fresh revelation of the hope to which they've been called and would shine as a beacon of hope and peace in the midst of an uncertain fear-filled world.

  • Pray for a fresh baptism of the power of the Holy Spirit to come upon the church and fill them with boldness, so that they can stand firm and shine as lights, and proclaim the Good News with certainty, love and power.

For others

  • Ask the Lord to expose the spirit of fear so people can correctly see what that spirit is trying to do in people's lives, and what it is trying to do to society.

  • Pray that the church and people in the world would turn to the Lord for peace.

  • Pray that the church would have fresh revelation of the hope to which they've been called and would shine as a beacon of hope and peace in the midst of an uncertain fear-filled world.

  • Pray for a fresh baptism of the power of the Holy Spirit to come upon the church and fill them with boldness, so they can stand firm and shine as lights, and also so they can proclaim the Good News with certainty, love and power.
