PROPHETIC WORDS

AN UNSTOPPABLE KINGDOM SURGE

by Lyn Packer

Recently we held a conference called Kingdom Surge. The thing that prompted the conference was the picture that many prophetic people have seen over recent years of a large tsunami-like wave standing offshore on New Zealand’s East Coast, waiting to break onto the land. Many have prayed into that vision and have believed it represented the Holy Spirit wanting to break in power onto our nation. The church continues to cry out for Holy Spirit to come in revival, yet still the wave seems to be waiting, and so far we’ve not seen what the church has been believing for and expecting to see. Why is that?

That question was firmly in my mind and I realised that God, in His goodness, had not released a sovereign move of His Spirit because this time He was doing something different.

As I prayed I felt that there were a couple of things the Lord was doing.

1.     God is giving us time to prepare and get things ready, both on an individual and a corporate level. This move will require a humility and honouring of each other that we’ve not walked in before. It will mean a laying down of egos and agendas, of wanting our church to be the one who carries this, or is the biggest and best.

There are new discipleship programmes that need to be formulated and written for the new believers that will flood our churches. The old training methods that we’ve had will not handle the truths that have been restored to the church over the last forty or so years. So much has changed and our discipling needs to reflect those God initiated changes.

There is training needed to be given to those already in the church that will make them effective ministers in their sphere of influence in society. There are leaders that need to be raised up and trained, ready for the new churches that will need to be planted, and the many that will need nurturing. These new leaders need to be trained and established in the ways of the New Covenant, and of the Father/King and His Kingdom which is based on family, love and honour.

2.     Secondly - As I prayed into that preparation, and what God wanted to release into the nation, I saw a vision of the wave, and movement started to happen within it. As I watched I saw that movement become people – thousands and thousands of them, and they and the wave began in unison to break onto the shores of the nation and surge across it in an unstoppable wave.

I realised that this move will be a combined move – a moving or a breaking over the land, together, of both Holy Spirit and the believers of our nation. Holy Spirit was showing me that this move would be a ‘together in unity’ move – Him and us, us and each other, working together with one heart and purpose. It would be a Philippians 2:1-11 and Romans 15:5-7 move – one of unity of spirit and heart, honour, and genuine servanthood.

As a result, I believe that the Lord is saying to us that we should get ready, and prepare ourselves for that which is about to break upon us. Now is the time to be diligent, to prepare. Once the wave has fully broken it will be too late for preparation. The Lord is allowing us time to get ready for the influx of growth. He is calling us to be strategic and intentional about preparing, both on an individual level and on a corporate level.

I could feel the Lord's heart, that none of those He’s calling to would be lost. His desire is that everyone who comes to know Him would come to a place of maturity, being well established in their identity in Him, and the knowledge of their being loved by Him. I also felt a strong emphasis that they know their place of belonging, both in Him and with His family, the church.

From this move will come an unstoppable flood of people that will advance across the nation of New Zealand and out into the nations. It will be an unstoppable surging forth of people into the harvest fields of the earth, filled with the love and power of the Trinity.

Like Dave Dobbin, we too will sing to those who come in...

“So welcome home, I bid you welcome, I bid you welcome,

Welcome home from the bottom of our hearts,
Welcome home, see I made a space for you now
Welcome home from the bottom of our hearts
From the bottom of our hearts”

Check out the lyrics of that song; there is much about it that is prophetic and a timely reminder. (Thanks to Jill Smith for bringing this song up a few days ago in the Prophetic Forum gathering.)
