PROPHETIC WORDS

A WORD FOR 2022

by Carol Chin-Poy

February 2022

This prophetic word was delivered by Carol Chin-Poy at the 2022 New Zealand Council of Prophets gathering held in Christchurch on the 24th February.

At the end of last year I saw a picture where the enemy had cast out many nets – nets with names of various distractions, nets called Covid, vaccines, passports, government, fear, anxiety, division, and many others. Many people were getting caught up in the nets of distraction, and the more they struggled the more they were stuck, pulling other people into the nets as they struggled to save themselves.

Under the nets was muddy water. The enemy muddied the water so that people couldn’t see clearly what they were fighting for. Even those with the same beliefs rose against each other because of the fear that surrounded them.

The enemy has impaired people's ability to see and hear. People know that things are wrong, but can’t agree on what’s wrong, as they are unable to see clearly. God is reminding us that we have an enemy. Now is the time to arise, to awake, to stand. To push back those things that have kept us bound, to throw off the chains of discord.

Romans 13:11 “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.”

Our enemy is not Covid, it’s not vaccines, or passports, or the government. Our enemy is the enemy. Our battle isn’t with people who have different opinions from us, it’s with the enemy who’s using these situations to bring fear, intimidation, division, and disunity. We have an enemy, but the victory has already been won!! Revelation of the victory will come as we stand in unity, declaring what God has already done! God is giving the church strategies to overcome the political and spirit of Jezebel that is influencing our nation.

Ephesians 6:12 “Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Now is the time to arise. To lift up the Name of Jesus, praise Him, worship Him, declare His Name, His promises, His provision! We mustn’t allow the distractions of this world to take our focus. Instead we must stand strong, stand firm on the rock that is our foundation.

God is calling His church to unity. The Holy Spirit is gathering people together in homes and businesses, in the streets. They will have a renewed heart and passion for Jesus. God is releasing a supernatural boldness and confidence, new strength and stamina to overcome things of the past that have held people back. Things that have been barriers to connection will no longer hold people back.

God is raising up a fearless generation who have walked through the fires and are not afraid. They will be the seekers of truth, displaying the love of God in word and deed. They will be hungry for the gifts of the Spirit and will see miracles, signs, wonders. Deliverance and healing will be seen not just in churches, but in homes, streets, and malls.

In this season discernment is key. We need to use our God-given discernment in this time to see what’s behind all we hear, see or read. Look to God to reveal the spirit which things are coming from. Pursue truth, righteousness, and unity. Exchange your fear and anxiety for God's peace.

Phil 4:6 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

This is a year where our spiritual eyes are opened to the power and authority God has given us. A year where we step into the fullness of all we've inherited in Christ. A glimpse of the beautiful bride that is being prepared for Jesus – a more radiant, steadfast warrior, confident in who she was created to be.

God is bringing increase to the church. While the enemy tries to distract and bring division, we are to focus on God and unity, to lift up praise, to love and care for one another. This is a year of revelation!

Romans 8:18-19 “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”

PRAYER POINTS

Prayer is not just us coming to God with a list of requests. As part of our relationship with Him, it is us having a conversation with the Lord, which involves talking and listening on both sides. The following prayer points are some things you can talk to Him about in regards to this prophetic word.

  • Pray for unity – unity within churches, between denominations, unity in families, neighbourhoods , work places. Declare unity over our nation. Psa 133:1-3

  • Pray for a renewed passion to worship and praise God. Pray that people would gather around the nation to worship God, not just in churches on a Sunday, but in homes and parks, combined churches gathering together to worship.

  • Pray that the sons and daughters  of God would be revealed in our nation. Believe for a supernatural boldness and confidence for God’s people in this nation; that people, being confident in their identity in Christ, would step out in the things God has for them to do; that healings , deliverance and miracles would be part of normal Christian life . Rom 8:18-19
